A Mill, a Story…

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Erwin who dreamed of building a mill. He was a child enchanted by the power of nature and he was surprised to notice how man could use the energy offered by it. He promised himself that one day, he would make his dream come true.
Years went by and Erwin had become a carpenter companion of duty and he had traveled from Holland to France by bicycle. In 2004, with the support of his wife Evelyne, he could start the construction of the Mill of Dosches.
With the help of the city, the setting up of an insertion project and the generosity of many volunteers, his dream has become reality and now offers visitors the opportunity to discover the regional heritage and to return to the values of yesterday.

Heritage and ecology

Initially created to promote regional heritage, it is now very important for the Mill of Dosches site to show its ecological approach.

Therefore, visitors can admire a magnificent wooden mill on a pivot, a new towable mill and a 15th century tithe barn. These three structures are located in the middle of an impressive natural environment.

Thanks to a garden with a thousand plants, a permaculture vegetable gardeninsects hotels, but also a reasoned waste management, this park can show its different actions to preserve the environment.

A family trip

Come and enjoy a day with your family by entering the universe of the Mill of Dosches.
Kids and adults will love the different activities: flour making (using small manual mills), old fashioned wooden games, but also a plants labyrinth named « La Meule » (the Millstone).
The souvenir shop, the refreshment bar, the several picnic areas located under the trees are the essential ingredients for a successful day.

The Mill of Dosches team warmly welcomes you to experience a sharing and relaxing moment.
